When you select that activity (depending on your equipment) it might turn on your TV set and set the input to HDMI1, turn on your receiver and set the output to HDMI3, and turn on your cable box. For example, “WATCH TV” could be an activity. An activity is sort of a macro which allows you to string together commands from any of the devices. The Harmony is capable of mimicking the remotes for any of these devices (most have a limit on how many devices they can handle). A device is any component you have in your home theater system - TV, receiver, DVD player, Roku, etc. If you are not familiar with the Harmony remotes, essentially they are comprised of devices and activities. Maybe you can use that to accomplish what you want, but offhand I don’t see it. Closest I can see is you can have an activity turn on or end at a specific time. I don’t see any commands along the lines you are looking for. There is also an Echo Dot in his room if that could help in any way. on the TV (not using Chromecast or Roku). My son has 2018 Samsung 4D smart TV and I'm playing YTTV directly from the app. I'm assuming you'd need to set up a command to pause every couple hours for a minute and then start playing again, but I don't know since I've never used one before.

Has anyone done this? If so, can you tell me what exactly I need to buy and provide info on how to do this (or point me to a website that can)? I've found lots of information online about setting up a command or activity on a Harmony remote but nothing that specifically relates to solving my problem. I've never used a Harmony remote (hadn't even heard of it before), but would totally buy one if it will solve my problem. I saw in another thread someone mentioned a Harmony remote might be the solution because you can tell the remote to execute a command every hour or every few hours to prevent this prompt. He wakes up as soon as this prompt comes on and then wakes me up. My disabled son is not able to operate the remote and needs the TV on all night. I've had YTTV for several months now and while I like a lot of the features, there is one big problem I'm having - the "are you still watching prompt." While I understand that YTTV is trying to cut down on the broadband, for me this feature does not work.
